Tom Arneson, President of Focus Consulting LLC. helps owners and their teams improve profits, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction. Tom received his Bachelors degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington. He studied political science, mass communications and criminal justice. Early in his career, Tom worked for a large Chamber of Commerce as their publications manager and lobbyist. Later on, he worked in the Northeast developing and implementing industrial training programs to improve product quality and productivity. During that time, Tom pursued graduate studies in Instructional Development, Design and Evaluation.
More than half of those training programs were aimed at implementing formal quality improvement initiatives. Tom and his wife also owned and operated a small restaurant. For the past ten years, Tom has been the President of Focus Consulting LLC, dedicated to assisting companies use the ISO 9001 process to improve their businesses. He received his ISO Lead Auditor training through the Productivity Improvement Center and Stat-A-Matrix group, Coaching Training through the Coach Training Alliance. He continues his studies in the quality sciences, coaching effectiveness and recently received his Certified Quality Auditor designation from the American Society for Quality.
